André Luiz Jardini Munhoz

André is currently a researcher at Brazil’s National Institute for Biofabrication Science and Technology (INCT-BIOFABRIS). He earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Piracicaba School of Engineering (EEP, 1994), and a Masters and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, both from the Campinas State University (UNICAMP, 2001). With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Mauá School of Engineering, Daniel is the Technology Director at 3D Criar. As an Engineering Projects Coordinator in the oil and gas industry, and later as a Latin American Specialist for Autodesk do Brasil, he has done work associated with scanning, modeling and 3D printing technologies. He then decided to venture into the area of 3D printing with 3D Criar, doing research and development of advanced equipment in connection with workflows involving hardware and software.

Fernando earned a degree in Production Engineering from FEI, and a Ph.D. in Management from ESPM. He has had experience in CAD/CAM technologies, 3D printing and measurement technologies. He is currently the director of Renishaw Latino Americana, a company specializing in solutions to improve productivity in manufacturing operations and to increase the reliability of manufacturing processes. Among those is a metallic 3D printing process which has been developed and is manufactured by Renishaw, and is also used in their own customized medical prostheses manufacturing divisions and in their solutions centers.

Jefferson de Oliveira Gomes

With a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. from UFSC in cooperation with RWTH-Aachen, Germany, Jefferson has been a lecturer in the Mechanical-Aeronautical Engineering division of ITA since January 2004. He also coordinates the Center for Competence in Manufacturing (CCM-ITA), advises undergraduate, master’s and post-graduate research students, and holds a CNPq research grant on productivity in research. He has both industrial and academic experience in Mechanical Engineering and Production, working mainly in the following areas: performance analysis of manufacturing processes, analysis of organizational and technological performance of industrial plants, support for industrial decision-making, sustainability in manufacturing processes and innovation management. Between 2011 and 2014, Jefferson worked as Executive Manager for SENAI’s National Department for Technology and Innovation. Wilson do Amaral Neto

A Mechanical Engineer trained at the Mackenzie School of Engineering and a Master in Aerospace Systems and Mechatronics from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology, Wilson has been in additive manufacturing for over 15 years. He is an Applications Engineer with experience in Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and Polyjet technologies, both belonging to Stratasys. In that time, he has installed equipment, trained professionals and instructed its users. Today, still as an Applications Engineer, he specializes in presenting equipment and its operation to new clients, or consulting on new applications for clients who already are well-versed in the use of this technology. He also gives lectures and presentations at events such as FEIMEC, FEIMAFE and Intertooling, and at educational institutions like Mackenzie, SENAIs, USP, universities and federal institutes.
