With a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Unicamp, Alex was responsible for developing mobile software at Motorola do Brasil. At Roberto Bosch do Brasil, he oversaw the development of software for electronic injection in Otto cycle engines. He has been at 3M do Brasil since 2013, and is responsible for developing embedded software and support for additive manufacturing.


André Luiz Jardini Munhoz

André is currently a researcher at Brazil’s National Institute for Biofabrication Science and Technology (INCT-BIOFABRIS). He earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Piracicaba School of Engineering (EEP, 1994), and a Masters and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, both from the Campinas State University (UNICAMP, 2001). He holds four postdoctoral degrees: one from the Rio Grande do Sul Federal University (UFRGS, 2001-02), one from the Leiria Polytechnic Institute, Portugal (2003-04), and two from the Campinas State University (UNICAMP, 2002-03 and 2004-10). He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from IPEN. He has experience in developing powder metallurgy techniques and in developing alloys through microfusion. Cristiane Brasil Lima Ulbrich

She is currently a senior specialist in the R&D department of 3M do Brasil, a graduate lecturer at SENAI, and a partner in UP3D – a company marketing 3D printers and scanners in Brazil. Cristiane has done multidisciplinary training in Design Thinking and Intellectual Property. She has also coordinated PIPE projects for FAPESP. She has authored two books: “Management of Tooling Shops” and “Computer-Integrated Engineering through CAD/CAM/CNC Systems: Principles and Applications”.


Daniel Huamani

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Mauá School of Engineering, Daniel is the Technology Director at 3D Criar. As an Engineering Projects Coordinator in the oil and gas industry, and later as a Latin American Specialist for Autodesk do Brasil, he has done work associated with scanning, modeling and 3D printing technologies. He then decided to venture into the area of 3D printing with 3D Criar, doing research and development of advanced equipment in connection with workflows involving hardware and software.


Fernando Tachikawa

Fernando earned a degree in Production Engineering from FEI, and a Ph.D. in Management from ESPM. He has had experience in CAD/CAM technologies, 3D printing and measurement technologies. He is currently the director of Renishaw Latino Americana, a company specializing in solutions to improve productivity in manufacturing operations and to increase the reliability of manufacturing processes. Among those is a metallic 3D printing process which has been developed and is manufactured by Renishaw, and is also used in their own customized medical prostheses manufacturing divisions and in their solutions centers.

With a B.A. in Product Design by the Mauá Institute of Technology and a degree in Digital Design from Anhembi Morumbi University, Guilherme has had eight years’ experience with products, working as Industrial Designer, as Packaging Designer in the cosmetic industry, and as Senior Designer and Projects Development Leader at SENAI São Paulo Design. He has created and implemented successful cases for companies such as Avon, Natura, Jequity, Faber-Castell, Amway, Disney, Baumer and Siemens. Guilherme has won national and international design awards. Among those are Mabe GE, Tok Stok, Inova Whirlpool, Idea Awards Brasil, and Objeto Brasil.


Jefferson de Oliveira Gomes

With a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. from UFSC in cooperation with RWTH-Aachen, Germany, Jefferson has been a lecturer in the Mechanical-Aeronautical Engineering division of ITA since January 2004. He also coordinates the Center for Competence in Manufacturing (CCM-ITA), advises undergraduate, master’s and post-graduate research students, and holds a CNPq research grant on productivity in research. He has both industrial and academic experience in Mechanical Engineering and Production, working mainly in the following areas: performance analysis of manufacturing processes, analysis of organizational and technological performance of industrial plants, support for industrial decision-making, sustainability in manufacturing processes and innovation management. Between 2011 and 2014, Jefferson worked as Executive Manager for SENAI’s National Department for Technology and Innovation. He has been SENAI’s Regional Director in the state of Santa Catarina since 2015. He has also acted as a consultant for Unesco’s Advanced Manufacturing Workgroup – MDIC/MCTI/CNI/ANPEI.

Juliana Breda is a Materials Engineer graduated from UFRGS with a sandwich graduation from Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI).
He has experience in research in the area of ​​materials science and technology: obtaining hydrogen from biomass fuel - Group of Energy Conversion Systems / POLIMI; Analysis of customized seats manufactured by CNC Machining through Three-Dimensional Digitization - Laboratory of Design and Selection of Materials / UFRGS; Study of composition, development and characterization of cationic polymer electrolyte membranes for use in fuel cells - Polymer Laboratory / UFRGS. In 2015, Rafael founded aditiv (www.aditiv.com.br), a lab specialized in 3D modeling and 3D printing for cranio-facial reconstructions and rehabilitation. His research encompasses the development and validation of bioabsorbable polymers for additive manufacture in bone grafting cases, as well as customized solutions for complex surgeries. Roberto is a professor and supervisor at the Productivity Lab of ESPM-SP, an instructor at the Decision Making Module of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC), and a researcher at the Decide Research Center (FEA-USP). He is a former president of the Brazilian Association of Industrial Automation and of ABNT’s Robotics Committee. As a UNIFESP researcher in Assistive Technologies for Ophthalmological and Neurological Rehabilitation, Vagner works on developing microsurgical instruments. At POLI-USP’s High Performance Computing Lab, he does research on Technologies for Smart Cities and IoT Systems for Health Support. He is an entrepreneur with experience in education and training, and in 2008-2015 was occasionally a guest lecturer on Assistive Technologies and Technological Interfaces in the Postgraduate course at FAAP. He is Doctor of Science and holds an MBA in Management, both from UNIFESP. Vagner is an R&D consultant for SENAI-SP, Intertrade and Wietech specializing in precision mechanics devices, microcontroller devices, and programming of embedded systems for satellite applications and communication. His main areas of focus are: ophthalmic bioengineering, medical product development, development and innovation of aerospace technologies, programming technology for embedded software in mechatronics, and medical and rehabilitation equipment.


Wilson do Amaral Neto

A Mechanical Engineer trained at the Mackenzie School of Engineering and a Master in Aerospace Systems and Mechatronics from the Aeronautics Institute of Technology, Wilson has been in additive manufacturing for over 15 years. He is an Applications Engineer with experience in Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and Polyjet technologies, both belonging to Stratasys. In that time, he has installed equipment, trained professionals and instructed its users. Today, still as an Applications Engineer, he specializes in presenting equipment and its operation to new clients, or consulting on new applications for clients who already are well-versed in the use of this technology. He also gives lectures and presentations at events such as FEIMEC, FEIMAFE and Intertooling, and at educational institutions like Mackenzie, SENAIs, USP, universities and federal institutes.
